IT Policy

We offer the choice of being on our own secure network or being set up on your own. If you want to be set up on your own network then you will require a "static" I.P address (a fee may be charged). We also offer the use of our email server to send and receive your mail and all other MS Outlook functionality.

Pre move-in service

Meeting regarding your IT requirements


Move In

  • Configure your network and any printers etc.
  • Configure your existing computer system(s) to access the internet
  • Configure your existing computer system(s) to send/receive e-mail

Post Move In Service

  • Configure any additional computers or networked printes (where we need to configure the network)
  • We will also resolve any IT issues where our hardware/software is at fault
  • Tenants will be charged for any IT call outs where Centre equipment or software is not at fault

Hardware Provision

  • We provide security via a Cisco PIX515e firewall for all users on our network
  • VLAN (Virtual Local Area Network) to stop other tenants looking at your information
  • Email Spam filters and antivirus services (servers only)
  • All systems are backed up onto external hard drives, but we are not able to be responsible for your information. We stress that you must backup your own data
  • Wireless access connection to the internet is available. This service is not secure and is for the use of the tenants and your visitors

Other Items:

  • Abuse of the bandwidth for non-business purposes (e.g. downloading of films etc.) will effect censure of the user leading to suspension and possibly termination of internet access
  • All IT support is contracted out by centre management, any tenants' IT problems will only by resolved on a chargeable basis, if our contractors are used
  • All contact with our IT contractors must be via Centre Staff
  • The above policy is the policy of WBIC management, and not our IT contractors
